Hello fellow Warriors!
My name is Matt Zavada, I am the Principal of Ozaukee High School.
I have been an educator since 2002, serving as a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director in the Kohler School District for 19 years, and serving as an Assistant Principal at Homestead High School in Mequon for the two years prior to being named Principal here at Ozaukee High School in 2024. Through all of my experiences, what I cherish most are the relationships that I have been so fortunate to build with students, parents, and staff in the many roles that I have had the opportunity to serve in.
Our mission at Ozaukee High School is to foster a culture of learning that builds an academic, personal, social, and career foundation for each student. My personal goal as an educator is to help foster the development of kids to become happy, healthy, successful adults. I envision Ozaukee High School students to be engaged in their learning, have access to a rigorous curriculum, collaborate together with both peers and staff, have a sense of belonging, and are college and career ready when they leave the walls of our school.
I look forward to continuing the rich tradition of excellence that Ozaukee High School has provided to its students and their families. I always welcome the opportunity to connect with students, parents, staff members, or community members, and the necessary partnership approach that we take to educating our children.
