Northern Ozaukee School District has been officially approved for a USDA waiver which allows us to serve breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge until December 23, 2020, or until there is no longer funding available. We will not be charging food service accounts unless you need to cover milk or ala carte purchases. For families who have already put money into meal accounts, it will stay in the account for future use.
There will still be a charge for non-meal purchases such as milk, extra entrees or other a la carte items. No non-meal purchases will be allowed without funds in the food service account.
We do ask that families continue to submit their Free/Reduced meal applications as they normally would as the Free/Reduced data in our district helps to ensure that many other programs that support our students will continue to be funded. Free/Reduced applications can be obtained through the District website and returned to the District Office.
There will be no charge for breakfast and lunch. Students will go through meal lines as usual and meals will be counted by district staff. Only additional entree, additional milk, and a la carte items will be charged to the food service accounts.
